- Maa Katyayani rides a lion.
- She has four hands – two hold a sword and a lotus, one grants protection and one grants blessings.
- This form is extremely radiant and has a divine aura.
Worship Method
- After bathing, take a vow to observe the fast.
- Offer fragrance, flowers, incense, a lamp, and naivedya to the idol/picture of Goddess Katyayani.
- She is especially fond of red flowers.
- Offering honey and jaggery is considered extremely auspicious.
- Chant the mantra:
Om Devi Katyayani Namah
- Reciting the sixth chapter of Durga Saptashati is beneficial.
