Ekadashi fast is considered to be of special importance in Hinduism. Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is called Rama Ekadashi. • Take a pledge to fast after taking a bath in the morning.
• Install the idol of Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi in the house or temple.
• Offer incense, lamp, flowers, fruits and basil leaves.
• Recite Vishnu Sahasranama and Lakshmi Stotra.
• Keep fast throughout the day and stay awake at night and sing bhajans.
• Break the fast on Dwadashi the next day and do charity.
