Translation of the Mantra

This mantra is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered as powerful as the "Mahamrityunjaya Mantra". It means: Om Tatpurushaya Vidmahe: We know the Supreme Being (Shiva). Mahadevaya Dheemahi: We meditate on Mahadeva (the great god). Tanno Rudra Prachodayat: May Rudra (a form of Lord Shiva) inspire us.

Om. Let me meditate on the great Purusha, O greatest Lord, give me higher intellect, and let Lord Rudra enlighten my mind.
