- She has four arms – two holding lotuses, one holding Lord Skanda in her lap, and one offering blessings.
- Her vehicle is a lion, a symbol of strength and courage.
Worship Method
- After bathing in the morning, take a vow to observe the fast.
- Offer fragrance, flowers, incense, and a lamp to the idol or picture of Goddess Skandamata.
- Offering yellow or white flowers to the Goddess is considered auspicious.
- Offer bananas and sweets – her favorite offerings.
- Chant the mantra:
Om Devi Skandamatayai Namah
- Reciting the fifth chapter of Durga Saptashati is beneficial.
