Amavasya Tithi has special significance in the Hindu calendar. The Amavasya Tithi falling every month is known by different names. Darsh Amavasya is also a major date among them. On this day, there is a special ritual of bathing, donation, tarpan and worship for ancestors. Darsh Amavasya means - such an Amavasya in which special darshan, bath and donation have importance.
