Ashwin Amavasya is the Amavasya date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month as per Hindu calendar. This date is very important from religious point of view. Especially, this day is considered best for Pitra Tarpan, Shradh and charity. The importance of Ashwin Amavasya also increases because it comes at the end of Pitra Paksha, which is also known as Sarvapitre Amavasya.
