Vijaya Ekadashi Vrat Katha
It is a matter of ancient times. Lord Rama was thinking of crossing the sea to attack Lanka. The biggest problem before him was to cross the sea. It was necessary to build a bridge to cross the sea, but this task was difficult without proper guidance.
Lord Rama asked his gurus and ministers for the solution to this problem. Then his guru Vasishtha Rishi said, "O Ram! You should observe the fast of Vijaya Ekadashi. With the effect of this fast, all your works will be successful and you will conquer Ravana."
Lord Rama observed the Vijaya Ekadashi fast according to the instructions of Vasishtha Rishi. With the effect of the fast, the sea god appeared and guided Lord Rama to build a bridge. Lord Rama and his army built a bridge over the sea and attacked Lanka and won.
Since then, this fast became famous as "Vijaya Ekadashi". By doing this, all the problems of life end and victory is achieved.
