Vidyaan dadaati vinayn, vinayaad yaati paatrataam . paatratvaat dhanamaapnoti, dhanaat dharmn tatah sukham ॥

Vidyaam Dadati Vinayam is a famous Sanskrit shloka that shows the importance of knowledge, humility and education. This shloka is commonly said in relation to the importance of learning and humility and is often used in the worship of learning or teachers. Meaning: Vidyaam Dadati Vinayam — Learning (knowledge) gives humility. Vinayadyati Patratyam — Humility (humility) leads to worthiness. Patratvaddhanamaapnoti — Worthiness leads to wealth. Dhanaadharma Tatha Sukham — Wealth leads to Dharma, and Dharma leads to happiness. The meaning of this shloka is that knowledge (vidya) gives a person humility (vinaya), which gives him respect and worthiness in the society. Worthiness leads to wealth, and wealth leads to Dharma. Ultimately, Dharma leads to happiness. Thus, this shloka reflects wisdom, humility, and perfection in various aspects of life.
