Method of Purnima Shraddha
- Take a bath in the morning and wear clean clothes.
- Remember your ancestors and take a pledge.
- Perform tarpan with black sesame seeds, water, and kusha grass in a sacred place.
- Use sesame seeds, barley, rice, and ghee for Pind Daan.
- Offer food and donations to a Brahmin or a qualified priest.
- Feeding cows, dogs, crows, and ants is also considered virtuous.

If a person does not know the death date of his ancestors, he can satisfy them by performing Shraddha on the Amavasya or Purnima Tithi of Pitru Paksha.
