Importance Of Ashtakvarga In Astrology

Ashtakvarga is a specific system of Vedic astrology, which helps in assessing the effects of planets and zodiac signs in the horoscope. Its main purpose is to analyze the influence of planets on various areas in a person's life, such as health, wealth, success, and family relationships. This system measures the auspicious and inauspicious effects based on the points given by each planet.

Importance of Ashtakvarga

In Ashtakvarga, eight types of points are studied, which help in assessing the strength of the planets and their auspiciousness. Through this, the overall effect of planets in a person's life and the events occurring at different times can be predicted.

Structure of Ashtakvarga

A total of 8 planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Ascendant) are used in the Ashtakvarga system. Each planet has its own Ashtakvarga, and in each Ashtakvarga, a particular type of points (Kendra, Trikon, Shastam etc.) are given in the 12 signs.

Importance of Points in Ashtakvarga

The points given by each planet in a particular sign indicate the auspicious and inauspicious effects of that planet for that sign. More points mean more positive effects and less points mean negative effects.

Uses of Ashtakvarga

  1. Assessment of different areas of life: The difficult or auspicious time coming in a person's life can be predicted by the Ashtakvarga system.
  2. Effect of transit: During the transit of planets, the auspicious and inauspicious results are predicted by studying the points in Ashtakvarga.
  3. Assessment of wealth, health and fame: Things like wealth, health, and reputation in society can be analyzed from Ashtakvarga.
The calculations done in the Ashtakvarga system provide important information in a person's horoscope, which can be helpful in guiding them in different directions of their life.

Prediction: Ashtakvarga system

In the Ashtakvarga system, predictions are made using the points of planets and zodiac signs. In this, the auspicious and inauspicious effects are predicted by studying the points given by each planet in a zodiac sign. To understand this, a systematic process has to be followed:
Creation of Ashtakvarga Chart:
First of all, the Ashtakvarga chart is made on the basis of the horoscope of the person. In this chart, points (between 0-8) are given in 12 zodiac signs for eight planets (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Lagna). These points indicate the auspicious and inauspicious effects of that planet in that zodiac.
Analysis of Planetary Points:
By looking at the points given by the planets in each zodiac, it is found out what kind of effect that planet will give in that zodiac. If there are more points (more than 4) for a planet in a zodiac, it means that the planet will give auspicious results. If there are less points (less than 4), the effect of the planet is weak in that zodiac, and there may be obstacles in the work of that zodiac.
Use of Samasti Ashtakvarga
Samasti Ashtakvarga is made by adding the Ashtakvarga of all the planets in the horoscope. In this, the total points of each sign are summed up. This sum may vary in the 12 signs, and it is understood from this that which sign has more positive effects overall.
Analysis of Bhava (House)
There are 12 houses in the horoscope, and by analyzing the points of the planets in each house in Ashtakvarga, one can know the result of that house. For example, if there are more points in the wealth house (second house), then the financial condition is considered good. If there are less points in the health house (sixth house), then the person may have health problems.
Effect of transit:
When the planets transit, the points of that planet are analyzed in the Ashtakvarga of the sign at that time. If the planet of transit has more points in that sign, then auspicious results are obtained at that time. Caution should be exercised when there are fewer points.
Estimation of special events:
By analysing the highest and lowest points in the Ashtakvarga, certain special events can be predicted. For example, calculation and analysis of points are important for decisions such as marriage, success in business, child birth, and other important decisions of life.
Example:
Suppose that the Sun's Ashtakvarga shows more points in the tenth house of a person in the horoscope, it may indicate success and fame in the person's career. Similarly, if the Moon's Ashtakvarga shows more points in the fourth house, it indicates the person's family happiness and auspiciousness related to home. By analysing the various houses and zodiac signs using the points in the Ashtakvarga, the auspicious and inauspicious results of the coming time in different areas of a person's life can be predicted. This system is a complex but effective technique, which makes the predictions more accurate.
