Yamraj Puja and Importance Yamraj is worshipped especially on the day of Yam Dwitiya or Bhai Dooj. On this day, sisters worship Yamraj for the long life and prosperity of their brothers.
Cleanliness and Preparation: Take a bath before the puja and wear clean clothes.
Puja Samagri: Worship Yamraj with a lamp, black sesame seeds, flowers, water, and naivedya (prasad).
Mantra Chanting: Chant the mantra "Om Yamaya Namah". Chanting this mantra 108 times brings blessings of Yamraj Dev.
Deepdaan: Deepdaan has special significance in the worship of Yamraj. A lamp is kept lit at the main entrance of the house, which is called Yam Deepak. This lamp is dedicated to Yamraj, the god of death.
