Meaning of Sri Krishnaya Vasudevay Mantra

“Shri”: It is a term of reverence and respect. “Krishnaya” : Refers to Lord Krishna. “Vasudevay” : Refers to Vasudeva, another name for Lord Krishna. Parama-Atmane – Supreme Lord, Soul; Pranata– Of those who surrender; Klesa– Of distress; Nasaya– Of destroyer; Govindaya – To Govinda; Namo Namah – Repeated salutations; In short, the Sri Krishnaya Vasudevay Mantra is a way of paying respect and salutation to Lord Krishna, acknowledging His divine presence and receiving His blessings. Devotees chant this mantra during their spiritual practices, meditation, or when they wish to invoke the grace of Krishna into their lives.
