But, Santan Saptami fast is considered incomplete without reading this story. Read Santan Saptami fast story here. A moneylender lived in a city. He had seven sons, but whichever son he married, he would die. Thus, six of his sons died. Finally, the marriage of his seventh son was also fixed. He invited all the relatives. The boy's aunt was also coming to attend the wedding. On the way, she met an old woman. When the aunt touched the old woman's feet, she asked, daughter! Where are you going? Aunt told her everything. On knowing everything, the old woman said that the boy will die. As soon as he leaves the house for the marriage procession, the door of the house will fall. If he survives that, even then the tree under which the marriage procession will stop will fall. After escaping from there, when he enters his in-laws' house, the door there will also fall. If he survives that too, then during the seventh Bhavar, a snake will come and bite him. The aunt said, O mother! I have only one nephew left. When you have told me about so many evils, then please also tell me the way to protect him. The old woman, who was herself Dubdi Mata, said, daughter! There is a way but it is very difficult. The aunt said, mother! No matter how difficult the way is, I will do it to protect my nephew. The old woman said, daughter! When the boy starts going for marriage, do not let him out through the door, but take him out by breaking the wall. After that, do not let the marriage procession stop under any tree on the way. Similarly, at the in-laws' place also, the boy should enter the house by breaking the wall and keep a bowl of milk during the time of Bhavvar. When the snake comes and starts drinking the milk, then trap it with a thread. When the female snake comes and asks for her snake, then you ask her for your six nephews. In this way, not only will your nephew be saved, but the nephews who died earlier will also come back to life. But do not tell this to anyone; otherwise both the one who hears and the one who tells will die and the nephew will also die. The aunt who had become an old woman did as Dubdi Mata had said. All the incidents happened as Dubdi Mata had said, but, because of telling the way of protection, the nephew was saved and the six nephews who had died earlier also came back to life. By the grace of Dubdi Mata, everything became blissful. On the return of the wedding procession, the aunt got the Dubdi Mata worshipped on the seventh day. O Dubdi Maiya! Just like you gave seven nephews to your aunt, similarly give the happiness of children to everyone.
